Czechoslovak Stationary 1918-1992, Vol. II

Czechoslovak Stationary 1918-1992, Vol. II by F. Benes

Volume II of the catalog of Czechoslovak Stationary 1918 – 1992 is a continuation of volume I – with a difference. Three years passed between the publication of the two volumes and that time lapse is reflected in the differences between the two. The most obvious difference is that the second volume is done in full color. The strengths of the first volume are preserved.

The second volume is only about half the size of the first, but it covers the material just fine. Stationary and postal paper coverage starts with letter sheets and then proceeds to aerograms, pigeongrams, stationary for pneumatic tube mail, telegram forms and on through all the postal paper used by the post office. The author also includes international return coupons. The final section is called “Further stationary” which covers what one might call semi-official stationary, to wit, scout post cards, military post cards, and provisional issues of Carpatho-Ukraine.

The two volumes give the collector of postal stationary excellent coverage of the everything issued by Czechoslovakia.
